The first quarter of the year was incredible for Express Entry system and Canadian immigration. In first quarter of this year, various records were broken and many new got created vide every Express entry draw. Let’s take a look.
There were 3 Express Entry Draws in the month of January. The year started on a good note, as the very first draw of the year launched on January 4th, 2017 invited record 2,902 candidates for Canadian PR, despite the fact that qualifying marks were not that low (468 points or more).

Immigration Refugee and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) continued to surprise the applicants in the 3rd draw of the month as they invited staggering 3508 candidates to apply for the permanent residency visa in Canada. So, the month of January was incredible for the applicants as just under ten thousand candidates got the ITA (invitation to apply) from IRCC.
There only two express entry draws occurred in the month of February 2017. The first draw of the month launched on February 8, 2017, yet again created a new record by inviting massive 3664 express entry applicants to apply for PR in Canada. The exceptional thing about the draw was the qualifying marks, which first time went below 450 marks.
